Hang the DJ

felt it was one of the best episodes of Black Mirror. FINALLY, one with a happy ending.
I found the overall concept of beating the odds to make it work, pretty cool.

It was great because it was so humane!

Just watched this episode myself (binged watched from S1 to S4) and have to say it’s also my favourite out of all the episodes so far. Thought it was beautifully written and yes finally a happy ending.

Also my favorite. Well written, charming, interesting, and even a little terrifying in regards to consciousness and perspective. This episode has it all including a soft landing.

I think Hang the DJ is right there with 15M Merits as my favorite. As much as I love the dark feel and heavy endings of most of Black Mirror, I loved the rare happy ending in Hang the DJ. I was really rooting for them to make it and was glad they did, in a backwards way. The female lead made her character so appealing and likable and had great chemistry with her co-lead. I’ve watched this one multiple times and still love it

I thought it was the best of the light toned, funny, happy ending episodes. Far better than the vastly overrated San Junipero. Sure, that episode was built on a good concept and had genuinely moving moments, but was too slow to get going and became less enjoyable on repeat viewings.

I went through the whole episode thinking the girl was Tessa Thompson (Westworld/Avengers Endgame) lmao.
