Nosedive a disappointment (spoilers)

That ending... horrible. You build all this up for that.... THAT!!! I thought she was going to be liberated. That she was seeking revenge thru realizing how *beep* her world was according to ratings. However she went and bombed. I mean horribly. I thought drunks told no tales? Uggghh

She was liberated, that was the whole point of the final scene. She let all of her feelings out in that scene. She was being honest, herself, humorous. It was never about revenge. It was about being human. Not about scoring points.

No I'm saying.... I thought her speech could have been better. Yeah, she finally let her emotions out but it was unrefined and not very liberating. I guess the liquor dampen it.

That's my only complaint about the episode; the speech. She went there clearly upset, and still gave a fake happy butt kissing speech. Even as her ratings dropped during the speech, she never once said "screw it", and just let out her real feelings.

I get that she finally started to be "real" while in a jail cell exchanging some pretty humorous insults , but it felt short and disappointing.

I actually liked this episode a lot. It was refreshing to see something funny and light hearted for once. I especially liked her brother and all the honest and funny stuff he said, but didn't care much for her. But I guess she was supposed to be annoying, because that is the trait we tend to associate with people we find "fake."

I think the idea of her giving the speach still was that she brainwashed herself into needing to give it and get to this place to tell it, that she kind of had to do it to unload it all off her chest, even thoguh she knew it wasnt helping. This is why towards the end she's kind of just saying "you *beep* greg" etc.I still feel it didn't end very well, I appreciate what they were going for, but as is the case with short films (which black mirror effectively is) which hinge on a single premise, they are kind of shallow sometimes and if they dont hit a particular note they kind of feel anticlimactic. It reminds me of the very first Black Mirror episode which is based on credits, but that one seems to tell more of a story, whereas this didn't really delve into much. It's a pity as China has pretty much just announced they're going to start a citizen scoring point system that will effect their lives and it will more than likely result in a lot of proaganda and pro-government patriotism in order to score highly, thus rendering anyone that protests or votes against the government a subpar scored citizen unable to get loans or be allowed in well scoring social circles. I feel this episode could've done so much more. Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.
