Also, wear earplugs, noseplugs and cover your mouth.
Now they have to burrow into your skin, which they probably can't do, or even if they try, you have plenty of time to swat them to death.
Or, take take a trip somewhere outside the UK. I have no idea why the British PM didn't hop on RAF One and fly around the Atlantic for a few hours until the deadline was over.

It's just bees. Britain's best and brightest should be able to outwit these creatures. If all of the bees come at you at once, then you could figure out a way to trap and destroy them. Magnets seemed to work on them, water, fire and electricity might work on them and if they go by visuals, then you could find a way to blind them.
Also, they could find or create a room that nothing could possibly enter. Hell, they could lock the people in a bank vault for the day.

Did you not see the failed attempt by the military personnel to destroy the beehives?
You would have to destroy every single beehive all at once and ignoring the impossibility of that feat alone, you would still have massive casualties since I imagine the bees not destroyed would begin to swarm and attack.
I'm actually surprised the potentiality of the bees being reprogrammed when they "reproduced" wasn't something that came up, since it seemed like a possibility, but I guess so much was already going on it would have made the story even more overwhelming.
I thought this, but the big questions are how fast can you get the message out and how long will it take to kill all the bees? They seemed to respond pretty bloody fast going after the teacher and the cop.
