if you like the Dardenne Bros touch, don't miss this one

Funny how things go in the movie business sometimes. The Dardennes finally got to be the toast of Cannes (and rightly so), but not many people outside of Scandinavia got to see this film. Seriously, I don't make that kind of a comparison lightly. If anything, Eat Sleep Die is even grittier and therefore, probably, more touching - and you get the added bonus of a rarer glimpse into the underbelly of the feted Scandinavian welfare system. It can be grim up north, I tell ya.
