stop acting like it's unexplainable

Just check the english wikipedia for a good synopsis, so you get a goodd overview and then the plot becomes perfectly understandable if you think about it a little.
It's thematic as well I guess, but there is also a strange but intruiging story going on that simply makes fine sense! Weehuw! :)

i think it is actually very easy to understand. i would even say that for a film that is so overpraised and takes itself so serious, it is way too easy to understand. the director hammers his point in again and again and again. 80% of the film is repitition, like he's aiming at the viewer "you get it? look, i'll show it again? get it now? oh, you do? are you sure? let me show it to you again...etc".

hated it.

Lol, that's exactly what I did WHILE I was watching the movie. If you have to check Wikipedia to follow the plot, the movie failed. Either that or I'm stupid, which I'm sure fans of this movie think I am.

That's simply not true. While certain themes are Universal, Films like this are more about ambiguity and how each viewer personally experiences and interprets the frames we are shown.

i saw the movie and didn't get it and didn't like it, then i read the synopsis and still didn't like it, so i guess there goes the theory that "you didn't like it because you didn't get it"

so many movies, so little time

It's a pretty bad sign for the filmmakers as storytellers if you have to read wikipedia in order to understand what happened in the film you just watched.

Nobody in the movie seems terribly surprised that they are in a world with psychic pigs....

reply

and great psychic pig bacon.
