Cumberbatch ripped off Sheldon from Big Bang Theory...

...he was dreadful.

As for Keira Knightley...i'd pound that pork like an angry butcher.

he was dreadful. Nothing at all like the real Turing, from whtat I've read about him. but cumberbatch alwaays seems to play much the same character in everything he does -sherlock for instance.

...also reminded me of the speech-impaired emperor played by Derek Jacobi in BBC's I, Claudius when he would stutter and stammer.

He didn't rip off Sheldon. If Sheldon were real, he would most likely be diagnosed with some sort of autism. Aspergers to be specific, which some suspect may have affected Turing had he been diagnosed (only speculation, not fact). If that were the case though, I thought he depicted such a person with this condition quite accurately. He was also noted by friends and family as being quirky, inward thinking, tunnel minded, and sharing an odd but often light-hearted sense of humour. Characteristics, all of which I believe were shown throughout the movie. Sheldon is a rude, socially awkward ass, portrayed in an exaggerated and comedic way. Not the same at all in my opinion.

he did not portray Turing accurately judging by descriptions of him that i have read by people who knew him - information that must have been available to the film makers. there was no sign of him having a sense of humour at all. the real Turing seems to have been much more outoging, and for instance he was apparently popular with children (you can't really imagine turing as he is portrayed in this film being a hit with children). And he got on much better with his colleagues than this film suggests.

oh Lord, and I had the naive idea this style( retroactiveradioman or whatever the name is) of misogynist idiocy was only on imBb,,,,,,

For me it was clear that the character has Aspergers, which Sheldon also has. Just the OCD, mannerisms, intellect and lack of social skills are key indicators. I also have a friend with the condition so can identify it easily.

1. His acting style was nothing like Jim Parsons.

2. You sound like a creep.
