Amy Adams' character says she is 33. Eastwood's character could not have passed for under 75; looked more like his real age of 80+. I know some guys are dads at an older age but I just feel like they should've had a younger actor for the dad or the daughter should have been much older. At age 33, Adams could have been Eastwood's great grand daughter!
According to the gravestone, the mother was 39 when she died, she would have had Mickey at 33 also.
With a guy, who knows. He was probably a longtime bachelor and didn't expect to get married and have a child, but it happened. He felt so inept, he didn't try that hard.

A guy having a kid in his early-to-mid forties really is not that shocking, is it? Nowadays (and even at times in the past), some women give birth at that age.
