Can't watch a Eva Longoria movie any more!

I don't know about you guys but I wish Film Stars would stick to what they know - acting and leave partisan politics to the scoundrels!
I cannot watch anything with Eva Longoria any more without remembering what she did by re-tweeting filth during the last election. I am not for the Reds or the Blues in the Election as I find both are equally dishonourable but do wish Actors would stick to movies and not get involved in petty, dirty politics!
If you want to take a stand, get into politics completely or just do good for the world without displaying your repulsive side...like say a Jolie,Pitt,Late Audrey Hepburn or even a Clooney to an extent. You CAN take part in public and political life without resorting to what Politicians do.
I for one cannot separate Actors who are filthy with their actions in the public from the characters they portray.

Another option would be you stopped watching the news and/or stupid tweets (aka internet-gossip).

Then your movie-experiences would be judged purely on the movies themselves. Just a suggestion ;)

Yes, that's what we need is to encourage less people to be informed about the world around them. There are far too few already that even have a clue and that's why were in the terrible situation we're in.

Come on.. reading random actor's tweets is NOT exactly what should be considered needful information... and who is "we", and what "terrible situation" are you talking about anyway?

I'm just saying that what a certain actor thinks about whatever shouldn't have an influence on whether or not you think a movie is good or not... "Yeah, I used to like Top Gun, but because Tom Cruise is a member of Scientology, I now hate the movie!" - Does that make any sense to you? If a movie is good, it's good. If an actor is stupid in real life, that actor is just stupid. The two doesn't neccesarily have a connection!

Last time I checked, Ms. Longoria is a CITIZEN of the USA and she's entitled to express her opinion...something about "freedom of speech," I think it's called. You of course are free to not like what she says, but to imply or hold that she should express her feelings in public --she may be fulla hooey, she may not-- THAT is un-American.

What gets ME is when "celebs" or any schnook rants against the USA without ever having visited our nation...but that's another story.

I think everyone should express their opinion, right or wrong. But to re-tweet 'that women who support a certain party are B****s' is a bit extreme,at least in my opinion. But I can understand that for someone else or those who support the same party, it must not be so repulsive. In my opinion, extreme opinions where you descend into calling names rather than point out where some one is possibly wrong, just shows a lack of class and ideas!
Those extreme actions are hard to forget however much you like a person/actor and at least for me, colours the roles they perform.Just as I am a touch uncomfortable while laughing at the antics of OJ Simpson while watching Naked Gun, Its my opinion that politics ,specially divisive politics is best left when an actor is not too active any more.On the other one can only look at Clooney,Pitt,Jole to see how one can do things as an American and with a touch of Class!

As mentioned, stop being so obsessed with what people tweet in general (little more than e-gossip and throw away "sound bites"), and more specifically be less concerned about comments made by celebrities. Personally, unless an actor, director, or musician has been found guilty of a serious crime (say child rape), their personal life or public opinions have no sway over how I view their work.

I have several things to say. First, I assume you're a US citizen ok? So please learn to spell "honor" the correct, American way. Secondly, Eva Longoria is a limited actor, so let's don't go giving her too much credit. Now as for your complaint, I agree but for a different reason. I don't think it's right that celebrities use their status to influence the masses of their political views. I always think, what makes them think their opinion is so much more valuable than mine? I don't get a forum to state my political ideology. And as for anyone telling you to ignore what they say, I say, if they(celebrities) stand for it I want to know. I don't want to naively, hold someone in high regard if they stand for everything that disgusts me about our world. I'm a democrat(mostly... screw gun-control) but liberals have gone way too far!

She was pretty good in this.

I would say that she is better in smaller roles and she held up her end in this one.

I have no idea what she did with politics, If I did I might not look at her the same.

But since I do not know or care, then she's OK with me.

"or even a Clooney to an extent."

You mean like when he said this: “Charlton Heston announced 'again' today that he is suffering from Alzheimer’s.

and this when challenged on his comment: "I don't care," he said defiantly. "Charlton Heston is head of the National Rifle Assiciation - he deserves whatever anyone says about him."

The little punk was still in diapers when Charlton Heston was on the front lines of the Civil Rights movement.

What does being in diapers have to do anything?

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

I'd still hit it.
