I love the movie but ...(spoiler)

I love this movie, but I felt that it's seem kinda awkward for Shelby to be there. It seem awkard because she wasn't really friends with anyone there, and everyone hated her. I know Shelby is suppose to be Mia's friend from college, yet they did not share a one on one scene together. I hardly got the picture they were friends at all. When Mia, Shelby and Jordan was watching tv with the kids, and Mia got sick, Jordon was the one who comfort her, while Shelby rush the kids out of the room. Hell, Robin seemed closer to Mia then Shelby.

Does anyone else feel that they should have had a couple of scenes between Mia and Shelby to reminds the audience that they are friends?

Shelby''s little girl: Did they ever mention who her father is? Is it possible that Quentin could be her father?

Robin name her child after Mia. I just commenting that Shelby and Mia didn't have any scene together that tell us that they are close friends.

well yeah it was kinda left field that they were bff's when in the original they exchanged no words and shelby wasnt even a bridesmaid. however i just wrote it off as 14 years going by and they grew closer.

It was weird since no one there liked ,nor had a connection with Shelby. It was like why is she there? The only way viewer learn that Shelby was Mia's college friend was from Lance stating it. I felt there should have at least been one scene between Shelby and Mia to establish that they were friends.

they said i love you when mia was holding her children on the bed. i didnt mind them not having a one on one scene. maybe it was deleted.

Harper named his child after Mia. I think Robin just agreed.

I don't think it was awkward, but I do understand what you mean about them not having many scenes together though. They did ask why she was there in the movie and they said that she was Mia's Line sister. So I think they were closer than they showed in the movie but think Jordan is considered the best friend and Shelby just kind of laid low in the relationship. But I think Robin truly liked Mia and respected her and that's why she named her baby after her and of course because of Harper. Also Mia was dying so she wanted everybody there.

I just think Shelby is all around annoying. So awkward, no. Useless? Yes.

They just wrote them being college friends in the script for this movie. Shelby wasn't friends with any of Julians friends in the first movie. They needed a valid reason for Shelby to even be in this movie.
