WTF! These Things Are Yeti's ? They Look Like Mutant Polar Bears.
Damn Syfy channel ain't even trying anymore. It's like they just said *beep* it and put anything on t.v just to fill the timeslot.

shareWell, it's a change from making the yeti into primates or apes again I suppose.
"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."
But they repeatedly said in the movie that the yeti *were* primates, so their decidely non-primate appearance was a bit of an odd tough. Also the repeated references to their being "invisible" was odd since they clearly weren't, at least most of the time, and this was never really explained, other than that they were obviously white-furred & blended into the snowy background.

Clearly, syfy just doesn't care. I listened to an interview on gateworld with David Hewlett (the director and actor who plays mills) and he made it pretty clear they were given little to no insight into what the CGI was going to be. At one point in the interview he mentioned how a character was supposed to die in a scene and during production it was sort of like "just act like you're dying, we have no idea how you're actually going to bite it.. flail around or something". He also said they were scheduled to film 5 days on the mountain top in bulgaria where most of the film takes place, but only ended up getting 3.. so the movie had to be radically changed to make it work. Clearly syfy would rather put out a blundering movie than put in extra funding to get it made to decent specs. But all the complaining about syfy originals is sort of funny to me.. you don't watch these with high expectations; A cgi heavy film shot in just over a few weeks with a foreign crew on almost no money with a crap script and we get... The Rage of the Yeti! I usually don't watch these flicks, but I sort of enjoyed this one because of David Hewlett.
shareActually, wt, they looked more like CGI rip-offs of George Lucas' Wampas!
