Question About the ending --- CONFUSED -_-

Okay so in the end at the scene of Barfi and Jhilmil laying on the bed in old age, Shruti is narrating -- she says: That was the life she always wanted (love she yearned for) Just like my grandparents... GRANDPARENTS?? What did she mean? Was she referring to barfi and jhilmil? or her own grandparents? because i thought her family didnt really believe in love.. i am so confused.

At the beginning of the movie, shruti narrates that she always believed that for her love means to live each moment of the life with someone and then to die together. Like her grandparents (maternal). Her grandmother died one day after her grandfather died. So at the end she refers to her own grandparents.

P.S. Shruti's mom did believe in love, it was just the fact that she did not have guts to follow her heart.
