Lovely.

I loved Nina Conti and Monkey on Family Tree, so when I saw this documentary about her, I decided to check it out. I really wasn't expecting it to be so touching and involving. I've always admired ventriloquists -- both in talent and wit -- because the act of talking to yourself at once makes you both transparent and vulnerable to the audience. You could tell a lot of this film was made with Nina alone in a room just pointing the camera at herself, and I can imagine how strange it must have felt for her. It's amazing how you can love someone just by watching them on a screen, and I fell in love with Nina wholly and completely here. It's a great film.
