For me, this is more like an "action movie"…

*Just my humble little thoughts…

… instead of guns and explosives, it used "dialogues".

The pace is extremely fast. The movie starts right off with "actions" in the first minute in the middle of a crisis (tense situation before keynote) with conflicting positions from all sides/different characters(Steve, Andy1 Andy2, Kate, mother, Woz, Liza…)

Rapid explosive exchange of conversations with all unpleasant hard sarcasm, bitterness, threatening intimidation, double meanings of hostility,… All "weapons" are lethal, aimed to the head, and meant to kill or seriously hurt someone…

Many times during watching, i found i just cannot keep up with the pace, and i need to pause the movie to slow it down, to allow me seeing the "actions" clearly, (what they really meant or implying... ) before i can proceed to the next scene…

I suspect this also caused a serious problem to the general audience on this movie:
>>It surely takes some background knowledge of Computer-tech/Apple history/Steve history/Apple key staffs histories/Steve's family histories…etc to be able to fully understand the dialogues!! and fully appreciate all the EMOTIONS behind.

…otherwise this movie would be an extremely boring one!!

For me personally i am a heavy Apple products user and have been following Apple news for many years, and it still takes me second & third viewing to realize what i missed the first time...

Great synopsis! FWIW, I absolutely love this movie. The scene with Jobs and Scully from the 1988 event is one of my most favorite acted scenes in all of the films I have watched.

yeah! i whole-heartedly agree! One of my favorite acted & scripted scenes too.

I don’t know how to explain… that scene was just so powerful and full of emotions... and those emotions are multi-layered.

The confrontation were more than “person to person” , but it was more like their “beliefs” confront one another.
There was a strong sense of hate, but underneath there were also some kind of respect, faith and regret ,… …

That scene was excellently acted, scripted, and directed.

It was flawless. I love how Scully loses his patience and says, "You are FUCKING delusional!" It seemed out of character but everyone has that breaking point. Plus, the flip back and forth to the Board vote was just mindblowing. Truly a film for those who appreciate performances from stellar actors. Yes, Scully being played by the same guy who wrecked Mary Swanson's toilet in 1994, hahaha!

And I am not ashamed to admit that I got a little teared-up towards the end when they shook hands and Jobs says to Scully about the stylus. He talks about the other "five attached to our hands"... then he says, "the things we could have done together". Holy shit I couldn't have been the only one that found that scene powerful!
