Did Steve Jobs know anything about computers or was he just a business man and a "computer Interior Decorator"? - I.E. no extra slots and special hardware to open the computer. He didn't know coding or ever built any of the hardware.
shareI would say Jobs knew as much as he needed to know, if something didn't really interest him he wouldn't bother with it but he was able to hold his own with engineers and call them out on BS. He did build hardware in the early days though it was with the help of Wozniak but he wasn't just a business man he did work at Atari after all I think they sent him over to fix a NTSC to PAL conversion problem they were having in Germany at one point so he could be competent when he wanted to be.
shareHe did somewhat. But he was more a software guy than hardware. Software was more technically challenging than it is now. But any way you slice it, he was nowhere near the engineer of Woz or any of his staff.
