Every Aaron Sorkin project is just people arguing

For God's sake. Does he not know that you can write interesting scripts where people are just having normal conversations?

Sorkin is almost as overrated as Steve Jobs himself. Unless you consider a talented salesman the height of genius and innovation. Jobs stole every idea he ever peddled.

Arguing is fun to watch.

Watching a movie about everyone who agrees with each other is boring as hell

I know! I think it's obvious how Sorkin's mind works. He thinks arguing and tension between people is an immediate pathway to writing good drama. I mean yeah screenplays have to have some kind of drama otherwise the story doesn't mean much, but not when virtually every scene is an argument and then it ends on a high note.

Yes. He has figured out this "method" that makes morons think "Hey, I'm watching a profound movie with great dialogue", but on closer inspection, it's all very one-note and formulaic.

I thought they were having "normal conversations". Unless you would have preferred Sorkin to write deliberately bland dialogue, but I can't imagine why that would be.

And what is the point of the movie if all the characters have the same viewpoint? Would you have liked it if Steve, Joanna, and Woz all patted each other on the backs and then went for a beer run?
