shareDid anyone else notice that Kate Winslet, one of my very favorite actresses, had an American accent halfway through, then seemed to have a German accent after that?
If it had been the other way around I wouldn't have thought as much about it, but it seemed strange to me. Had Joanna been living in Germany for a few years in between?
Going by Lisa's ages, 5,9 and 19 those were the establishing time frames.

I figured it was because in the later years she had lived in America long enough and it's true that accents can start to change, especially if you learn more English as you go, cos if an American teaches you English of course you're going to repeat it in their accent. And in her earlier years her accent obviously would have been more pronounced
