Behind the scenes changes?

I stopped watching after the second episode this season when it became clear that for me at least the magical spark had left the show.
I came back this week because I always enjoy Eric Peterson. He was as usual wonderful, but I was struck that the life has continued to drain from the show. It doesn't seem possible that one casting change can be responsible for all of this. So I wanted to know, because I don't keep track of these things, have there been many changes behind the scenes (writers, directors, producers, whatever) as well?

Thank you. That explains a lot. And makes not just walking away again but not bothering to check back in a whole lot easier.
I'll also keep an eye out for the name Tracey Forbes in the future.

David Sutcliffe should enjoy the show while it lasts because after being a pretty boy male diva this will be the first and last time he'll be given a lead in a tv series or major movie.

How did David Stcliffe get his way. Did he cluck like a checken and flap his wings until the producers let him have his way. And why was Stefanie von Pfetten not asked to return for season 2?
