Replacement is totally unbelievable as ...

... a doctor of psychiatry. Way too young, no gravitas in the acting. She reminds me of a high school cheerleader. I'm gone as a viewer.

Good news... it's always helpful when judgmental whiners like you LEAVE an IMDb board.

At 30 yrs. old, it's ridiculous to dismiss Brooke Nevin as just a high-school cheerleader. Maybe you should hire her, to help you with your deep-rooted anxiety over young women!

How is she not dressing professionally? She look professionally dress to me.

You know: glasses, nasal voice, sensible shoes, the Dr. Lilith Crane look of the female nerds in "The Big Gang Theory".

There's a dress code you have to follow when working with the police.

I always thought this when watching Castle.

I originally thought that Clara would be an equal partner with Aidan.

Careful, that's how characters get replaced around here.

What a silly response to a poster with an opinion. Why are only negative opinions "judgemental?

You still here? I thought you were "gone as a viewer".

Or maybe you now realize that Brooke Nevin is NOT too young to portray a psych evaluator... nor is she just a high school cheerleader (your outrageously "silly" sexist remark.)

Hiring someone young to portray a doctor is sexist in my opinion. A mature woman would have been better for the role, but apparently people like you assume any woman over the age of 35 is dead to society.

Btw, he said he was leaving as a viewer. He said nothing about leaving imdb.

Right.... so he's gonna no longer watch the show, but will still write posts about it? LOL

Apparently your old age is also affecting your ability to apply a little common sense.

The first season of Cracked was one of those shows that I really looked forward to more than the stories warranted. And it was all due to the back and forth between the two main characters. They had a chemistry I really liked.

Back then there was an equality between them that is completely missing now. They might as well have partnered him with a puppy dog for all the respect he gives her and the power she has over him. I've liked Brooke in other things but she is totally miscast and badly written here as far as I am concerned.

I'll continue to watch but I don't look forward to it with zeal anymore.

I find her okay...maybe you're just 'analyzing' the show too much

reply

I completely agree. Way too young and doesn't seem to fit the role. I'm sort of tired of most shows having really young people in these types of roles.

i agree with a lot of what you said on this topic. was very disappointed when they replaced daniella with clara. it seems like they replaced her with a less capable and younger actress to add to the show's sex appeal... which i personally find especially ridiculous considering daniella was a beautiful woman (who dressed sensibly - perhaps that was the problem?).

i don't think brooke was wrongly casted - i think she's playing the role that was written for her. that's the problem. she's not a bad actress imo.
