Absolute crap remake of a badass telugu movie

I never saw the trailers and had no idea what i was going to see. ten minutes into the movie and i started banging my head to the back of my seat. i realised that i am watching hindi version of ravi teja starrer Vikramarkudu that i had already seen in some cable channel. its not a remake....it is a *beep* scene to scene copy and paste of Vikramarkudu.

akshay kumar is a great action star and i love his past work (well ...a quite large part of it !). but he is no ravi teja. this kind of character suits ravi teja and this kind of stuff suits only south indian movies. moreover, what is meaning of making such movies which were not only made recently in other languages but also dubbed in hindi and were widely telecasted on set max, sony and other cable channels.

P.S. the action scene of construction site (just before interval) was the highlight of Vikramarkudu which is totally wasted in this crap !!!

Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?

tbh i thought after watching rowdy rathore, akki surpassed teja, teja acted well, but akki was allrounder, his action execution was technically better and cooler than teja and he also matched up to his acting, teja was good in vikram rathore role, but akki was good and was more complete.

i respect your views sir. thankx for your comment.

true liked akki more in RR ..he did well in both comedy n action ..

yaar you're talking as if Vikramarkudu was some masterpiece cinema. It is also a b-grade bhojpuri style movie.

"masterpiece cinema" is an altogether different planet Sir !!! If i want to talk about it i would rather talk about the likes of 'the godfather'. neither of these movies are anywhere near that zone. that being said, ur post is most welcome.

Yes you're exactly correct. Its not like the Dark Knight was being remade. The original movie was also horrible in terms of direction, sensibility, execution etc. In every aspect. lol. Like how does the guy go from being so laloo to fight a vicious villian in the second half? Such a big plot hole. You're comparing two F students on who did better. lol. They're both failures. But obviously box office didn't go that way for both movies.

I totally agree with your take. If anyone could have done this role in Bollywood, it was Akshay Kumar, but even he does not come close to doing it as well as Teja. The "thief" roles demands utter lack of shame and pride from the character and Teja nailed it, that kind of character looks very artificial in bollywood movies however. As far as the serious police role goes, both of them did a very good job at it.

Prabhu Deva btw must be put behind bars. I understand the guy buys rights from the Telugu movie directors/producers before he does his remakes, but this talentless idiot puts in zero effort. He literally copies every major and minute details in every scene, its downright laughable that bollywood considers this hack a talented director and rewards him with honors.

finally, there is someone who got my point..very many thankx for your views sir.

Haven't read the other comments since they seem to be usual flame-wars typical of Indian comment-boards, but must say I agree with original poster. Saw Vikramurdu and thought it handled the construction scene the best; it had the right kind of shock and awe value that was missing in both the Akki version as well as the Tamil version. Overall, it was much more fun watching the Telugu original. Sad to see actor like Nasser reduced to hamming as the villain. Wish they had actually made a 'remake' instead of cut-paste which serves no purpose other than attracting fans of the star. That said, I loved the movie.

You must be living in la la land when there have been pan singh tomar, kahani, oh My god, english vinglish, barfi, vicky donar, and many more released this year. this movie was only catered for masses, but there are many genres being made which hypocrites like you keep overlooking.
