Great movie

Seen this film at Sundance and was absolutely amazed by the acting in it. This film is so authentic, I loved that some of the cast are people from the streets of London. Listening to the director even prior to the screening talk about being excited screening in front of "real" people instead of the usual Sundance industry crowd was refreshing! Can't wait for more of her other stuff. The film features some amazing cinematography. The scene with the sunlight (with the the younger brother) is beautiful

See this film and watch out for everyone involved.

P.S. I cannot believe Fady Elsayed hasn't acted before. That guys gonna be a star!

Saw the film at Sundance too, and was equally impressed.

I will put it on my watch list. I hope the rating will go up after more people see it.

Agree 100%. All the scenes of the skyline and flats from Mo's perspective were beautifully shot and show a real care and love from the director. As Said says it's about how you frame things and using such shots shows this film is about the fullness of Hackney life, not just its bad bits.

He was the best part of the film and his scenes with his friends, especially the young girl who played Aisha, were so touching.

Well, I didn't see the film, but I want to and it's a good idea to cast someone without acting experience. Since he didn't have any acting experience, this film would be considered also an art film.

Floyd's the one to watch, Elsayed wasn't that great. His character being a bit of an arse didn't help.

Floyd was amazing. But Fady was good too.

I don't know, maybe his character rubbed people the wrong way but I connected with Fady and his rendition of Mo really well. He really reminded of myself when i was in the same age and phase. I was small and skinny but talked big and thought I had to be tough because that's what becoming a man is, but really, you're just a good kid inside who misunderstood what makes a man, for a moment.
