I like this kind of independent films, but sometimes it's too much

I've got mixed feelings about this film. I liked the soundtrack, the characters, the photography, but the plot and the ending were kind of forced and ruining. Two young people meet, fall in love at first sight (arguably), and develop a mostly physical/sexual relationship to the point where the kinky stuff they do in the bedroom ruins their lives. The ending is just shocking and shallow, but could be anticipated from the beginning of the film. Although the lead actor gives a convincing performance, not the same could be said by the lead actress. She plays her character in an emotionless, blankly, empty manner. Also, I'm still not quite sure about the message that this film wants to deliver. Is is the recklessness of youth? Is it the danger of indulging in S&M with strangers?
