I'm so sick of the treatment of Sam already

We *beep* get it. Kini made stuff for Sam during their team challenge together. That wasn't even Sam's fault. Kini was forced into doing a lot of work for Sam because they were in a team together so really, Kini was helping himself. Was it annoying that Sam recieved praise for that look? Yeah, that's annoying but, who cares, get over it. It was still his design at the end of the day and it's a design competition.

Is Sam a terrible designer? Yes, sometimes he is but, sometimes he's not and that's the case with every single designer that's still there. I can even understand that Sam's personality leaves a lot to be desired but, their treatment towards him won't change that at all. If anything, it will just make it worse. It really pissed me off when, Ken said how angry he was Sam wasn't eliminated and When Sam tried to reply, Ken angrily told him that he wasn't speaking to him. That was just so rude. How can they ever say that Sam is rude when they do the same thing to him? They're no better than he is and I can't even imagine Sam saying or doing anything like that to anyone else, including Ken.

I even know exactly what that feels like because I work with a guy who I think is totally garbage and should be fired. Not only does he still work there but, also my bosses all think that he's just the greatest and they idiotically give him special treatment all the time. Am I outrageously rude to him constantly? No, I'm not because I'm not a childish bully. If anything I'm nicer to him than I am with other people because I want him to get better and stop sucking so badly. The people on this show seriously need to get over themselves and stop ganging up on a young immature guy who's just trying his best.

Seems to be a bit of hypocrisy! From what I hear, Sam went "all in" in his criticism of designers in his blog! Mitchell was especially hurt and Sam didn't give one jot; "it's just my opinion" is what he would say! Looks as if there's this double standard that I will point out again and again! 😉

It was a blog, and it is an opinion which he's allowed to have. I'm sorry but, I don't see Sam saying something terrible about Mitchell and then saying "I'm not talking to you!" when Mitchell responds to him. That's just not okay and it's not hypocrisy if what Sam did was just on some stupid blog and what these other people are doing is straight to Sam's face. If you can't see the difference in that then, there's a problem. I have seen designers say some very scathing, and terrible comments about their competitors during their "confessionals" on the show and I've never seen anyone make the argument that they were now open to bad treatment because of what they said. Why are they allowed to say whatever they want and still be treated with civility and common decency? It is just a personal opinion at the end of the day.

Anything you say Sam; errrr Chief!  You do know the producers illicit that "b!tchiness' in the confessionals I hope? All of them do it; been happening since the beginning with Jay in S 1! ☺ [;-/

Sam has said and done nothing to any of the other contestants to warrant the treatment he is receiving. If you don't like him, that's fine, but the only bad behavior I've seen is from Mitchell, Alexander, and especially Kini and Ken.

Good grief, did Sam kick Ken's dog or something? He's got it in for Sam something fierce. His behavior is so unseemly. And it's a shame, because Ken is talented and I was liking him much better this season than his last, until he started acting like a jealous biotch. And that's really all it is, pure jealousy. Let your talent speak for you Ken, because when you open your mouth you sound like a petulant child. 

I think they should direct their anger at the judges because it's them who they should be mad at. But they are afraid to be kicked off.
Oh well.
I hope Sam wins it all just to rub it in their faces cause they are acting more high school than my school mates did IN high school

Except that Sam figured the judges out—especially Isaac—and has been playing them for all he's worth.

And? That doesn't mean anything and I very highly doubt that the producers are to blame for Sam's cruel treatment. Kini and ken very clearly hate Sam and no one has to illicit a bigger reaction from them for drama. I don't even care about what they say in their confessionals or even on their blogs. What's messed up is the treatment they give Sam while he's in their actual presence. If that is also the doing of the producers then, they're doing a great job at making us hate Kini and Ken and bravo to them.

reply

There is a difference between having an opinion and being downright rude.

If you are going to blog about people, you need to give constructive comments, you don't just come swinging out of the gate to bash people.

He crossed that line and its not going to change. He would not like it if someone blogged about him in the same manner he did about the other contestants.

reply

He crossed that line and its not going to change.

No, he didn't. Come on now, it's not like he murdered everyone's parents or something. He can say whatever he wants as long as he remains civil with everyone in person. That's something that Ken and Kini should learn how to do as well.

He would not like it if someone blogged about him in the same manner he did about the other contestants.

Of course he wouldn't although I would hope that the wouldn't be too upset about since, yeah, he is doing the same thing but, he obviously wouldn't like to have it done to him. One of my original points is that if you are hurt or angered by something online then, just don't go there anymore. The problem with face to face bullying is that you can't escape from it. You can't just turn off a computer to avoid the harassment. That's totally not fair. Also, I haven't even seen Kini or Ken mention what Sam wrote. They are mostly mean to him because they consider him to be a terrible designer whose been skating by with the judges. I, personally, think that Sam is talented most of the time but, he definitely makes mistakes as well. That is actually what Sam wrote about Mithell and he was right to do do. Mitchell does suck.

reply

If you are going to blog about other contestants, you should remain civil, professional and keep it constructive and explain what about the garments they make that you felt could have been better. You do NOT come out of the gate saying they are a horrible designer and the clothes they make are trashy, etc. . .

One of my original points is that if you are hurt or angered by something online then, just don't go there anymore.

That is Cyber-Bullying and that is still Bullying. If you are going to blog about other contestants, your posts should be constructive and professional. You don't get to off and say that designer is terrible and the clothes they make are trashy.

That can hurt a person's reputation. Some people really fail to understand that even if Sam deletes his blog, it is never truly deleted, because it is just floating around in the great big void of space called the internet. So you and your "girlfriend" Sam don't like Mitchell, what you post about others online can be and still is Cyber-Bullying.

Kini and Ken are also bullying as well.

Where is the talent? All Sam has done all season long is take mesh, lace and sheer fabric and drape it on the dress form and tack it. No sewing whatsoever. The dress he made for the fairy tale challenge was disappointing. Lets take mesh-like fabric that looks like a net and then take swatches of fabric and just tack it to the dress form. There was so much potential for making clothes for the client Ariel. When the model was walking down the runway the swatches of fabric in the front around her hip started to pucker out like she was a marsupial going to carry a baby kangaroo in her pouch.

One thing is that Sam should have been a bit kinder. He can give his opinion of course but there's always a nicer way to be honest. I mean, just in case he was face to face with them later or was on pr all stars with some of them or something ?

What's the hypocrisy? Sam isn't out there saying he is being mistreated or bullied. Not on this show anyway. He just sort of brushes it off and doesn't respond much to those catty guys (if we can call them that). So apparently he dishes it out AND takes it. He's not being a hypocrite at all.

Ken is anger-driven and has seen his own share of preferential treatment by leaving and being allowed to return. Then pretending he wants it so badly. He's the one being the hypocrite.

reply

Ken left because he just couldn't control himself and needed couple hours to get a free head. That's his decision. Sometimes you need that. Calling that hypocrisy is stupid.

reply

I totally agree with you. It is so passed simple opinions and now ken and kini are bullying him so badly it's hard to watch. Sam wasn't always the nicest guy himself but two wrongs don't make a right.they need to remember this is a design competition ruled by these judges. It's what they signed up for. And if the judges like him, they like him. The judges like people all the time that i am like "wtf?!"about. Oh well, opnions are opinions. Don't be hateful.

reply

oh my stars

most of you are so delusional.

Sam IS a bully. most of you are saying that because he wrote something in his blog that that was okay. um no bullying people online is NOT okay. what he did is still bullying, and you all need to face that.

if you made something and someone else took credit for it you would be pretty upset so enough with the get over it already. if you watch the episode Sam did not even know which end of the pants were the top and which were the bottom.

he did not make that outfit and for him to take credit it totally unprofessional.

Sam should have been eliminated already. Face that fact.

what he did in his blog is still bullying.

you said Why are they allowed to say whatever they want and still be treated with civility and common decency?

well why is Sam allowed to say whatever he wants on his blog and still be treated with civility and common decency. would love you to answer that one

someone said oh did he kick his dog or something. and i don't see where Sam did anything to make everyone hate him. i guess you missed about the blog and how nasty he was and that he took credit for something he did not make.

someone said

No, he didn't. Come on now, it's not like he murdered everyone's parents or something. He can say whatever he wants as long as he remains civil with everyone in person. That's something that Ken and Kini should learn how to do as well.

no you can not say whatever you want. people have a responsibility to treat others as they want to be treated. if Sam doesn't want others to treat him badly he should not have started as he did on his blog.

that is called cyber bullying children and it is wrong to think you can say whatever you want and not have any responsibility for it. people hide behind the internet and get really brave when they don't have to be face to face with someone.

i do not say anything to someone i would not say to their face. some people should learn that.

whoever said that if you don't like what is said on the computer you just don't go there. wow. not very intelligent. once something is out there in cyberland it is out there FOREVER. you may think you deleted it, but it is out there, people can find it and hey guess what, IT CAN STILL HURT. and again that is called cyber bullying so think about it.

After watching and reading some of Sam's blogs, I'm more sympathetic to the notion that he brought a lot of this upon himself.

There's a quote, I believe attributed to Zsa Zsa Gabor, something like "Being jealous of a beautiful woman does not make you more beautiful." and it applies in this case.

Kini and all the others only make themselves look bad by pointing out the shortcomings of Sam. They only bring attention to their own faults.

It's a life lesson for them.

Found the quote on Zsa Zsa's page:

reply

I agree sam is not perfect and he has done somethings like the blog that could be called bullying but watching ken and kini go after sam is getting to the point it makes me sick to my stomach. You don't like the guy? that's fine ignore him and be professional worry about your own design.

reply

Well that's easy for us to say; ignore the no-talent hack, but we haven't lived with him! I know my limitations and I know I'd "go off" after a while no matter how introverted I am! Sooner or later I'd snap! They obviously reached their boiling point being in close proximity to this child! ;-0
