IMO, the only time it was acceptable and went over well was back in Season 3; a travel challenge where Mychael made himself a nice pair of pants! He didn't win, but he looked good, clean, and got kudos from all concerned! Jeffrey won the challenge with some kind of "rocker number!" ;-/
