I assumed the credit at the end was a gimmicky type of thing. Then I heard a podcast mention she died of a drug overdose. Apparently her life echoed that of her life in this film some. Pretty sad. She probably would have had a decent career. She was in a Death Cab For Cutie video.
I kind of feel bad for the filmmaker. Of course you want to release your film. At the same time it must be strange to have her depicted that way etched in film forever.

Sara was my cousin. :) I agree, pretty eerie and ironic. She died of a heroin overdose (while she was writing poetry I believe). She was a very deep yet tortured young lady, but she had a lot going for her. She started off as a model, and I agree she could have had a decent acting career.
