In the movie non-white characters (Chinese) are good while white ones (American) are evil, stupid and violent.
The movie is criticized for being (allegedly) racist and Chinese nationalist... I'm sorry, but the movie has a diverse cast following the usual plot in any modern Hollywood movie, you know, good courageous non-whites saving the day from evil nazi psychopathic whites 😁

The right is accusing the movie to be leftist propaganda. Although I disagree with that I do acknowledge that the movie is definitely pandering to China nationalism and their current anti-western stand.
Besides the commanding officer, every white character in this movie is portrayed as either racist, ignorant, or greedy. If that's not racist I don't know what is.

However... it's still 100% accurate, and that makes sarcasm even better. The movie is obviously promoting Chinese nationalism and pro-Chinese and anti-western agenda... but... BUT... if that was a American movie, you'd probably have more blacks and Hispanics as main positive characters, with Asians being relegated to positive secondary characters, and that'd be the difference. The rest of the movie could be the same. That's food for thought, isn't it?
