The Phoenix lights!! Aliens. (spoilers)

Did anyone else notice in the very beginning when he looks out the window, there are about 5 green lights flying in the sky, in the exact formation of the Phoenix lights. Why would the director put that in there? Look up the Phoenix lights, and then look out his window again. It is obviously a nod to that incident, but the lights are green. And his vision of the world is green, the moon in the window is there to remind us of the sky above, and kylie says, she has eyes that arnt really hers. If you think they are aliens, then that can be taken literally. and in the end when he says, "our lives are about to change", they are all looking up at the sky, as if waiting for the ship to come back. Does anyone else think there are alien undertones in this movie.
