So much deeper than about actors playing roles...

As many can attest, this excellent and cerebral film provides so much for the viewer to take in on many different levels- an extremely relevant film, as the director sees "Holy Motors as a science-fiction movie; a parable of human relationships in the internet age." Denis Lavant described the film as "a great poetic declaration of love for mankind today"

i took away similar ideas and more - such a wonderfully weird and appropriate movie for the now...

Agreed. I hadn't even thought of it representing actors and cinema until reading it here; and though that makes sense, I think it diminishes it, oversimplifies it.
