Saw it at a film fest - absolutely awful

We just caught this at the Phoenix Film Festival, and one of the producers (and his parents! :() were in attendance. 3/4 of the audience left before the QA could start, and no one being about to muster up a polite question/comment to share with the producer during the QA. That didn't happen during any other screening I attended, most people are patient enough to want to stay and chat with the film's creators. Not this one. Everyone was very eager to jump ship and recover emotionally from the experience. I'm still experiencing PTSD.

If that says anything, it's this: this movie was an absolutely joy-draining, masochistic experience. Quirky and charming? Bull. As the other honest reviewers have shared, it's toxic and mind-numbing. If you hate your friends and family, take them to see this.

My one positive: Cute wardrobe choices! Props to you, wardrobe team.

It has a decent score right now, but I'd bet my first-born that friends and family are rating it for folks who worked on the film as a favor. You are doing the creators no favor. I would like to make a documentary about my attempts to prevent this movie's theatrical release.

I felt compelled to leave this here because this is getting a wider release in May.

I would sever my left hand to save even a handful of people from experiencing this.

I would see that.

I would pay to see that.

Seriously though, must be a pretty terrible movie for you to be so passionately against it, haha.

You heart me? What is that? Is that like I love you for pussies?
