The premise is kinda ridiculous, but...
I'm gonna watch the film anyway. The idea of two black guys that are "social scientists" robbing a bank to understand the racial dynamics of a small town's law enforcement is an incredible ineffective and ill advised unintelligent way too learn anything. Very little will be learned, except maybe that bullets hurt way more than you thought they did.
Regardless of your race, posing as as bank robber in ANY town, small or large, will get you shot. Granted though in some small towns being black may very well accelerate the process due to fear more than racism(citizen wise). Many small towns in the US have yet to fully integrate & "catch" up with the rest of the world and in turn have fear. As I have yet to see the film and don't know how the police will be portrayed, whether it's realistic or the stereotypical cliche backwoods sheriff type, any further discussion is moot, but hopefully the film will be smart and bring the right questions to the surface without stereotyping EITHER race in the process to make for a proper discussion afterwards(I know I'm reaching here but wth)
