Big scare. (spoilerish)

I watched Banshee Chapter last night and, despite the DVD cover reviews, it did nothing for me in terms of scares. In fact, it was all build up and no pay-off.

Then a black comedy like this comes along with one genuinely unexpected jump-scare (you know what I mean if you've seen it!), and restores your faith that a film, albeit just one moment, can make a grown man jump and squeal like a little girl.

Then again, it's probably just me!

I know the scene you mean, and I agree with you. I knew nothing about this movie when a friend pulled it up from Netflix, so 'the scene' was a total surprise. The rest of the movie followed from that same 'wtf???' ness, in a quirky (dare I say positive?) way.

Then again, I'll watch Tyler Labine in anything, and I actually liked Malin Ackerman in it, and I usually can't stomach her in anything.

I guess we two are the outliers.

What scare? I must have missed it.

It's a party. Do I need to say more?

Logan: I don't know!
Rogue: You don't know, or you don't care?
Logan: Pick one.
