Adam Cheng is BOSS as Yang Ye

Man what an awesome movie!! I know it is not perfect, but it has been awhile since I saw a movie that moved me, thrilled me, and entertained me as much as this film did. Kudos to Ronny Yu and the cast for creating such an epic movie. But the one actor that I want to bring attention to is Adam Cheng as the head Patriarch Yang Ye. He was charismatic, caring, strong, dignified, honorable, and carried this aura of class that only a veteran actor like himself can bring. He was AWESOME!!!

Also, I don't understand all the negative reviews this film has been getting. I mean did we watch the same movie?! I think we as lovers of cinema should remove the critic cap off our heads before we lose any sort of enjoyment left from watching movies in general, or we will end up drowning ourselves in our own pretentious analysis of the films we watch.

All in all, this is such a fun and enjoyable film, do yourself a favor and give it a chance, it might end up surprising you.

P.S. I would rush through a horde of soldiers to save this man in a heartbeat!
