Problem With The Ending. Warning: Contains Spoilers

One of the big problems with this movie was the ending. All of her companions have been murdered in extremely violent fashions and the only evidence of the monster's existence has been destroyed. So does she get the death penalty, life without parole, or a one way ticket to the funny farm?

PS Gothika with Halle Berry (among many others)had the same problem.

The part of the ending that doesn't make sense is the monster died when the old man said it can't be killed. They tried everything to kill it except a boatyard fire?

Yeah, good point. A monster that can't be destroyed by anything but a fire on a boat. Well, at least it's original.

Did she mean to kill the monster with the boat fire?

Or did she just trap it, burying it because it's the only way it can stop killing, by closing the hatch?

Not sure if there was another exit or not, though.

That was my take and then the fire was just to make sure she can at least get away.

Creature in boat, boat sunk, creature buried in the water.

I guess that could explain the needing to be buried bit.

Thank you. I enjoyed Gothika up until the ending, when she was free as a bird after killing her husband. Yeah, they found the proof that he was a psychopath, but in the law's eyes, she killed him, if I recall in a very unpleasant way. (It's been a while)

This movie here I would tend to give more slack as it's a SyFy production, and I don't expect any sense from these. That's part of their appeal. (I have a horrible addiction to terrible movies, especially late at night)
