Committed the ultimate sin filmwise...

...offering an intriguing premise and turning it into something deadly boring.

I couldn't care less what happened to any of these people, and to me that's a sign of a very poor film.

i see it the other way round. the premise was kinda "duh", but what they turned it into was something much more interesting, concept wise.

not that this was enough to make it into a great movie, but entertaining non the less.

I totally agree with you OP...but even worse...its raises so many questions in the story but never answer any of these questions...just lame and boring crapfest...sure its a nice try to do something great with a lower budget...but this is one of the worst movies ive seen with a low budget...

Why do people use this argument when negatively criticizing a film? I find it one of the most dull criticisms around. Movies are like an hour and a half long. They aren't television shows with 5 seasons... why do you need to "care" about the characters? Doesn't even make sense.

I didn't care about the characters either but the movie was still pretty decent for a horror flick. Without a doubt, Sharlto Copley brought it all together and made it good.

Seriously if you need to "care" about characters then stick to television... don't watch movies anymore.
