I just heard about this and was getting excited until I read the synopsis! A pity, it decided to avoid real subversion by having a principle couple and a gay best friend, avoiding any real sexual jealousy or opportunity to explore Polyamorous relationships. I keep waiting for something new but this is only avoids convention by having a the baby daddy hang around with the baby mamma and her new man. Are they going to share a bed the rest of the series? I think not.

So you're annoyed because the point of this show isn't what you want it to be? Someone wrote a show about a happy couple who are accidentally having a baby with their best friend. From the title alone you got what you said, /then/ read a description? Bit of a jump.

Why don't you write your show? =) I'm not being a troll, if that's what you want to watch, then others probably do too. Have a go! I'd watch that.

he is saying that this show could have been cool if it took a route that maintsream tv shows don't normally take (which it does sort of having a gay character - but really not seeing as we had the first one of those on public tv in 2001 on BTVS) This show could have explored places that no other show will have the opportunity to but the writers/producers didnt take that route.

Yes, that was my point in saying it is a lost opportunity. By making one of the characters gay, you remove any possibility of a threat to the principal couple, therefore the only real 'threesome' is the unusual method of gaining sperm, which is, of course, the result of a crazy night drunk and/or high.

Would this show be any less different if she just asked her gay best friend for sperm and he said 'Ok as long as we all raise the child together' and her loving (sterile) boyfriend is not thrilled but goes along with it?

How many children are being raised with two dads now? Tens of thousands of children in the UK are being raised by non biological father, adding queerness (I am bisexual btw, I am allowed....)and a living together situation does not a subversive comedy make. Being subversive means taking risks. It would have even been more risky if it was another woman and the male impregnated his partners best friend and they decide to raise the child together, watch the sexual tensions, drama, jealousy and all the comic Polygamy gags.... This just another.....young irresponsible people have to grow up now...oooh he doesn't know how to change a nappy does he?? hahaha......standard sitcom.

When something has Threesome in a title it had either be an on going situation, otherwise it is bogus. They may as well have called it 'Did something a bit naughty once huh huh'.
