wow.. This anime is bad..

So.. i´ve watched the first 7 episodes of this anime.
It has the worst storywriting i´ve seen in a loooong time. Nearly all charackters react totally unrealistic (oh boy episode 7 is just pure *beep* What is it i don´t get? Why do some people say this is the best anime of all time?
Is it really worth it to watch further?

It have some good points after episode 7 . Episodes 11 and 12 are by far the best in the anime.Btw if you decide to watch all 26 episodes don't forget to watch and the OVA Mirai nikki Redial witch is the ending of the story. Personally i think Mirai nikki as 6,8/10.
Good anime, have some good moments and characters, Extremely satisfying ending (with the OVA Mirai nikki Redial) But they are some points where the writing is just to stupid.

I watched the whole series and I agree with OP, writing is just plain bad. It's very unrealistic that psycho highschool stalker chick having super human strength to be able to kill everyone. It's as if Japan can't think of anything outside of the highschool cliche, lame.

@Zecon202: I agree that this isn't even closest to the best anime, etc and is a pretty bad series in general, but there is an explanation for Yuno being so good at killing people...

She's already killed plenty of (the same) people in the first iteration. So I guess it makes a little sense.

But otherwise yeah, lots of plot holes, and just a frustratingly idiotic MC.

Why in the name of God have you any right to criticise the story-telling of other people when you butcher the English language in such a manner? I mean, sure, you're entitled to your opinion and you can still judge other people regardless of how you write, but why is it you think it's a good idea? Is it your first language or not?

And to answer your question, some people call it the best anime of all time, which it's not, because of subjectivism, the same thing that allows you to criticise. You don't have to like it, but justify why you don't. Saying that the characters react unrealistically shows me that you don't understand anime in the shōnen genre whatsoever - this is typical of its type, which you'd know with a wider viewing-range.

This is a message board. Stooping to criticism about English language usage and grammar is proof of a weak argument.

I am by no means an expert on the shōnen genre of anime, but if it's actually true that having the characters react unrealistically or illogically is typical, that would suggest a flaw in the genre not a flaw in the argument.

I don't think this is the worst I've ever seen, surely not the best.

Yes, a LOT of things make absolutely no sense in this show what so ever.

You have freaking high school kids (and even a preschooler!) with access to things like nerve gas, explosives, guns, knives and whatever. And they always seem to go toe to toe with police officers and security guards?

Seriously, a bomber comes to a high school, blows the place up and tells the kids to take out a specific kid - the police barely asks questions and his mom doesn't put him under lock and key?!? There's a terrorist after him as far as she knows...

I'm not even getting to absurdity of how the police doesn't do anything about the bodies in Second's room or how the heck does Fifth, a kid with no parents manage to survive? Money? Food? Let alone have access to nerve gas and antidotes... Come on...

But it's still decent enough. I think 6 out of 10 is a decent score for it.
