wondered who paid for the goat?

Do you think the producers bought it and tossed it in that hole?

If there's any justice in the world, it will be Tom who pays the price for what he did...preferably with his life, but if you believe in souls, I suppose that may suffice.

Killing an animal for no reason and additionally FORCING an already emotionally and intellectually stunted child to commit the act is unconscionable and unacceptable. To air it was a reflection of the lows to which NatGeo will sink. Prior to this I thought they would remain slightly above TLC, but now they are just as bad if not worse.

Perhaps one day Tom will experience the "merciful" act of screaming while your throat is cut inadequately by an inexperienced hand lacking the strength to do it in one go. I doubt he would find that to be "painless".

*beep* him for doing it and *beep* the producers for airing it. If taking the life of Tom or his family would restore life to the goat I would do it without hesitation. It deserved to live far more than the ignorant clowns who murdered it for absolutely no reason other than to smear its blood on one another.

Contrary to popular belief there is no functional difference between the life of a goat and the life of a man...the only reason we think differently is our own ego reinforced by fictional books from thousands of years ago. Tom and his pathetic brood mean nothing to me...they are absolutely inconsequential in the exact same way they believed the goat was.

lol at how mad you are. They ate the goat at the end of the episode, so what's the big deal? You've blown up this forum with your whining posts about that damn goat, plz go.

While I agree with much of what willtopower feels, ie, it wasn't necessary for Tom to kill the goat, and we feel above animals due to our intelligence and ego, the commentary has been over the top since it has basically become the issue on each topic.
Hey, I think Tom is a whining #ucking Dick too, but as others have said, how many animals get slaughtered daily to provide beef to supermarkets and chain hamburger joints?
Also, that poster is embellishing quite a bit. Saying Tom let the son do it, meanwhile, what it DID SHOW was Tom also holding on to the knife to assist. Also the children didn't dive in and bathe in the blood as he also mentioned. Tom smeared some on the kids cheeks, and if anything, Tom is being a bonehead recalling the scene from Red Dawn pretending killing an animal makes you a man. I'm surprised he didn't yell out "WOLVERINES".
Also, willtopower mentioned sawing the goats neck and a bad painful cut. This wasn't obvious at all from viewing unless one wants to pretend that's the case.
I've seen bodies on Ogrish when they showed things like this, with humans.

Blooding is a centuries-old hunting tradition. If your only frame of reference for it is an '80s movie, that just points out your ignorance.

Yeah that may be a "Hunting Tradition".. but from what I understand the goat was not "hunted" but killed to add entertainment value to what is a POS TV show ?

The show, the cast and crew, the producers, and the channel are garbage for doing this... and I agree with those outraged by this crap...

I understand that, however, I think more people pull from TV and movies than actually having knowledge on past traditions or rights of passage. Did you see the episode? The guy doesn't seem to be anything more than a wannabe.
