Why the hate?

I'm trying to figure out why so many viewers who ranked this short film had such a visceral dislike of the film. You'll see that about 1 in 4 gave it a 1 rating, and a large percentage of women over 30 rated it very low. I found it a strong and serious approach to its subject. I also saw it as tonally quite unified in working through its presentation of how overwhelming teens' lives can seem when they receive such a deluge of negative messages and so few that are supportive.
