Just finished it and as good as the movie is throughout, the ending is simply... yeah, wow. See it if you can!

agreed, god, i haven't cried like this in a while. You really fall in love with Isaac Leyva, Garret Dillahunt, and Alan Cumming. I'm surprised it has such a low rating, though :-?

Wonderful story.
Agreed...loved, loved, loved this movie...as for low ratings: there's sort of a trick to decoding imdb ratings...reading in between the lines of the reviews helps; that's where peoples' preconceptions and expectations reveal themselves...for example, if someone is looking for a happy ending and doesn't get one, they give the movie a dramatically lower score, say a 4 or 5 instead of a 6 or 7....and so on down the line. I myself had a problem with 1) the wigs, and 2) at Paul's (Garret Dillahunt) boss's house, the boss's wife wants a 'high five' from Marco: I don't believe the suburban general population was high-fiving in 1979; but after a lot of thought, I decided that I wasn't going to penalize the film for that (LOL).
