Hair versus wigs

Garret Dillahunt obviously has on a wig, but it that Alan Cumming's own hair?

I thought they were both wearing wigs and both wigs look really bad! Cummings may be wearing a lace front wig, like what Beyonce wears, but judging from the trailer it doesn't look like it fits him right. Kind of distracting.

I think the lawyer they hired had the worst wig. Still, great movie.

Having lived in the 70's i can honestly say these wigs are pretty true to the terrible hair styles of the era.
(70's = awful hair, good music)

I lived in the 70s, too and no one's hair looked as bad as these cheap, ridiculous wigs they had the poor actors wearing.

Lol, I didn't see the movie. But I just have to comment and say that this has to be the funniest thread i've seen in awhile. The trailer made the film look so pretentious and checking it out on imdb for the first time, the first thread I come upon is titled "hair versus wigs" I already figured that the OP was talking about the obvious wigs of the two main characters. I could see they were wigs even in the trailer

I was able to get past Alan Cumming's wig, but Garret Dillahunt...wow. His looked like it came off of a 1970's male mannequin from a JC Penny store. It was horrible. There's no way they paid over $2.99 for that thing.

FANTASTIC movie, though. I was a blubbering mess at the end. Very moving.

The "afro" wig on the hired attorney was the worst. In fact, by the time the two men hired the attorney, I was feeling sad for all concerned...then I saw that bad afro, and coupled with the lawyer's frustration, it made me laugh. All I could think about was that he was probably more frustrated about having to wear a bad wig than about the situation his clients found themselves in. The wigs were distracting. They seemed very campy.

I enjoyed the film, but the wigs were distracting, particularly Paul's and the hired attorney's. I thought Alan Cumming's wig (if that's what it was) looked much more convincing as proper long hair. I don't understand why they just didn't style the actors' hair in a '70s way or, for goodness' sake, just notice that the wigs were kind of naff and extremely obvious.
