Wonderful film

I went to see this after seeing some good reviews, and I thought that it was wonderful. The writing was very focused and the acting was superb. I was especially moved by the actor who played the young boy.

Without giving anything away, I really appreciated the film's ending. There was nothing "Hollywood" about it - but you still left feeling satisfied.

With so much garbage being released, I hope that more people get to experience this film.

rme355, nice to hear a good review. I love this movie. If you don't shed at least one tear during that final scene, well, you must be a robot. my favorite film of the year! 10/10

Such a good movie, I saw it today on the Italian tv, I never heard about it. Touching, sweet, sad, all in the right measure, though I cried for half of the movie. Alan Cumming is great.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest, but turns out I also enjoyed the movie.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like Renee Zell says in J Maguire - this movie almost had me at "Hello" As soon as Rudy rescued the child and took him in I was all theirs. This was a movie about HUMANITY - not just human rights. This could have gone wrong in so many ways, but they got it right.

My only comment was that the social worker, Ms. Martinez was probably not very true to life. It was clear they would have been able to make her more three dimensional with nuance that would have been needed had there been more time, in my opinion, that's how it appeared to me.

The Justice system was what it was in 1979 - so... I'd have to think that was pretty accurate.

Beautiful movie. Just a knock-out, start to finish.

I wish I could have seen this with my late mother.
