Granted I liked the movie and the musical numbers, but everything was TOTALLY out of sequence as to what happened and when including the songs the Elton played during the movie. As a music buff who knows a lot about Elton's musical career it really irritated the piss out of me.
shareI think most agree this one was a fail. It's mixture of soap opera, musical, and fantasy just did not work. Elton really deserved better. Sometimes they get it right: Coalminer's Daughter for instance.
shareA movie that got 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, grossed 4.5 times its budget, and got a 7.3 on IMDB can hardly be what most would call a fail.
