An Elton John movie with someone else singing his music? PASS

What's the point of that? I just hit play on the soundtrack on Spotify and to my shock, it's someone else singing Elton's songs. How hard is it to have the actor lip sync?

The singer wasn't even that good. Passable but not good. Hence he's an actor, not a singer.

I'm glad I didn't go see this, seems like I just dodged a bullet.

Well, it's not like Elton is that great a singer. I mean he's fine, but of all the things that made him a big star - his songwriting, his showmanship, his dress sense, etc., his singing voice is kind of far down the list.

So I'd be fine with an actor singing the songs, especially if he had equal or better singing abilities. I can say that's the case, whatshisname isnt terrible of anything, but he isnt as good a singer as Elton.

Wow really? He's an amazing singer. He's a white man with soul. Bennie and the Jets is proof of that.

The vocal range on Someone Saved My Life is incredible. He could belt. He has falsetto.

His duet with George Michael, one of the best pop vocalist of all time, shows how he can go head to head with the best.

So no, his vocal isn't long down the list.

I think it's sweet of you to praise his singing so highly.

I mean he's a good pop singer, but I've been obsessing over Freddie Mercury lately.

You don't know what you're talking about. EJ can sing with the best of 'em.
