My summary of this amazing film!! *SPOILER ALERT*

This movie was REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!!! It was the perfect lil' movie to help me wait till the second one comes out in 2014...

So...That being said... Here are some things I noticed...and would love to share with you all.. These are some of the things that...have made me fall even more in love with the charters and the story line in this lil' "series"...

This is kinda like...my lil' movie review...

Oh...and in case you didn't see the title...

SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALLERT!!

As Hiccup narrates about the war being over and dragons living WITH the vikings...we see Hiccup all burrowed up under his covers...It's winter...Can ya blame him? As I saw him hide under the covers as Toothless is causing all the ruckus outside atop the roof...I saw annoyance... which to me was strange...It left me wondering...Then he got up...sleep-i-ly grasping the air for his hat...As he walked out side...The Hiccup I'd come to love in HTTYD came to life as he called up to Toothless

"Well g'mornin' Mr boss-ie!"

To which Toothless brayed back teasingly (it's close to the same sound he makes after he steals that small fish from the lil' dragon in HTTYD)...To which Hiccup mimics the sound himself thus reenforcing that he understands Toothless's different sounds and things.

Hiccup continues saying...
"Do ya always have to wake me up so early to go flyyyyyying..."

The last words were drawn out by Hiccup's left leg giving out causing him to slip on the ice. Toothless rushes down from the roof and steadies him...

"Stupid leg" Hiccup says...And then...Toothless brays sadly... Toothless made that same sound when he came too, and saw how grieved Stoic was (HTTYD) when he couldn't find Hiccup.

So...ALL THAT...Is to say... that I love how MUCH Hiccup and Toothless's bond bounded forward and deepened even more in this movie...It's apparent that they have been practicing new "moves" in the sky as they approach the ledge and Hiccup unHOOKS HIS PROSTHETIC LEG from the harness and Toothless bucks him off... sending him over the ledge and the catching him right on cue!

Then...as you may have guessed...The dragons fly away... They all meet Toothless and Hiccup flying home and Hiccups helmet gets knocked off in the process...You can actually see the look on Toothless's face as resolves to get Hiccup's helmet not mater what...but fly's back to Berk obediently.

Hiccup starts to see how Toothless is missing out as one of the dragons try's to encourage Toothless to come with the other dragons....And of course Toothless can't follow. :( Then Tuffnut brings up how lucky Hiccup is because his dragon can't go anywhere with out him... It sparks a sadness in Hiccups heart which you can see on his face as he looks to the cliff side at Toothless...who is solemnly looking to the sky...

Then Hiccup does what I've been wondering about since...well...since HTTYD came out...I'd always wondered if he's build Toothless a tail he could use on his own...That moment when he places the tail on Toothless and Toothless realizes what that means...You see the connection between them...Toothless's eyes get REALLY BIG...and if you look carefully...You can just see in that moment... Hiccup has just sacrificed everything by giving Toothless a renewed sense of freedom...You can see Toothless realizing how much Hiccup loves him because Hiccup is willing to let him go...

The connection between Hiccup and Toothless and just bounded forward by yet another step...Which makes the heart break all the more painful as you see Toothless flying off in to the grey sky. As toothless fly's away...You can see the look on Hiccup's face... The pangs of missing his friend have already taken a deep hold on him.

As Hiccup lays awake staring at the ceiling...We hear him sigh aloud dolefully... As he turns to his side...It's clear he is miserable with out Toothless..

Then you see his face light up as he hears the ceiling creak... He hold his breath...Letting it go as a banging sound comes from above. The look on Hiccups face as he sat up said it all..He was so sure it was Toothless...

As he dashed out side you can hear him yelling up to Toothless... Totally distracted Hiccup takes a spill on the ice and lands square on his back. Leaning down, his father finishes hanging up the Snoggletog decorations on the ceiling...

Stoic orders Hiccup to go find his helmet, not knowing that it's out at sea somewhere.... But it's not until Hiccup turns gruffly to go find the helmet that Stoic notices somethings bothering Hiccup...

The bond between father and son has clearly grown since HTTYD... In HTTYD Hiccup and Stoic barely talked. Stoic thought Hiccup never listened, and Hiccup thought his father was always disappointed in him due to his character, and physical size being smaller.
Hiccup and Stoic actually had a mutual conversation where BOTH SIDES LISTENED TO THE OTHER AND TOOK WHAT THE OTHER HAD TO SAY...TO HEART!!!! You could see the concern on Stoic's face as he saw Hiccup turn. But then he was able to lighten Hiccups mood as he realized Hiccup was missing Toothless just as much as he was missing his loved one (I'm assuming it was his wife...but I'm not sure). So...Hiccup and his father are starting to close the estrangement that they had in HTTYD...Which is like....AMAZING!!!!

Then...Toothless leads the dragons back... and they all head to the holiday party... You can see that Hiccup is a bundle of mixed emotions. He can see everyone is happy which makes him happy....while making him miss Toothless even more. Then with out knowing...Toothless sneaks in when Hiccups back is turned...(
I was almost yelling "Turn around Hiccup...Your buddy's right behind you!!!)
The look on his face when he finally see's Toothless is priceless!! Then...As Toothless draws near...You can see the regret on his face...He stops short not knowing what Hiccup will do or say...And you can see HIccup stop short as well...but not for long... Hiccup usses all his might to smother Toothless in a hug...And not just any hug...He embarrassed his friend who'd finally returned.
This catches Toothless off guard...You can see the guilt on his face...But at the same time...He knows what he wants. Hiccups hug set off a light bulb in Toothless's mind...

The next morning Hiccup gets the surprise of his life. He wakes up to the usually ruckus atop the roof. Springing out of bed he heads out and finds Toothless sitting poised by the side of the house. Looking down Hiccup see's that Toothless has pulled out his flying gear... Toothless had to try with all his might to convince Hiccup that this is what he REALLY wants... Toothless ends up smashing the new tail...Then it was Hiccup's eyes that got REALLY REALLY BIG as he realized how much Toothless LOVED HIM BACK as Toothless was willing to sacrifice it all for Hiccup.

Hmmmm...I think I've got more...but I can't think of how to word it... So here's a quick re-cap of the things I'd noticed/have made me love the characters even more!
1. Hiccup shows more emotional depth as he takes a chance and gives Toothless a new tail...and a new sense of freedom.
2. Toothless continues to learn new things as he learns to trust Hiccup more.
3. The relationship between Stoic and Toothless grew by leaps and bounds as the two of them really did have something to "talk about" (HTTYD reference to when Stoic meets Hiccup in the workshop after returning from looking for the nest...-->"With you doing so well in the ring...we finally have something to talk about")...And the scene at the end where Stoic nearly tackles Hiccup from behind, picking him up and saying "Well done son!"...AWESOMENESS!!! I wonder if Hiccup ever heard THAT PHRASE in HTTYD before?
