If it makes you feel any better, I'm coming across more and more reports that the sequel may actually come out in 2013, instead of 2014. Plus, there's the TV show, which'll hopefully be enjoyable.

Starting at about 4:00. And I've heard other mentions of 2013 here and there, too. To be fair, I'm still hearing 2014 sometimes, too, so maybe you're right, but having one of the producers say 2013 is enough to give me some hope, anyway. I guess all we can do is wait and see, but the sooner it comes out, the happier I'll be (so long as they take the time they need to make it as good as possible).
you know it's funny I never thought that Snotlout's nightmare, Fisheleg's Gronkle were girls .. (especially the nightmare) The Nadder maybe.. but I'm wondering on the Zippleback (possible boy head/Girl head) would've been better if Toothless had babies.. or revealed to be a girl.. IMO..

Okay, is it just me or does it seem that every dragon except Toothless is a girl? If we are going on the theory that all the female dragons go to that island to have babies and Toothless seems to be the only one who doesn't go. So does that make him some kind of stud to all other dragons? I realize I'm over thinking a movie I watch with my 2 year old but still...
shareI think all dragons of both sexes go to the island, except for Night Furys, which probably go somewhere else, since there don't appear to be any aside from Toothless. Either that or Toothless is the last one of his kind.
Whatever the case, Toothless wasn't going to be reproducing, so he didn't need to go to the island. Pretty simple, really.
