Makes me wish for the return of orphanages.

The kids would have more stability and opportunity in an orphanage than this failed setting. The government accepting the burden for people to breed and turn out kids on the socialist system sure seems a waste of lives.
Marriage, life insurance, responsibility? A foreign concept? Guess the show was a success on some level.

While this is not a review of the film in any sense of the word, your take on orphanages (never mind politics!) is as out of touch as your idea that this response is acceptable as a review or relevant comment to this film. Children don't thrive in orphanages. Even a poor home--even a less than desirable foster home is better than an institution. Just look at the research (the second link puts the results in terms even you should be able to understand) and the very real physical and psychological deficits that result from living in orphanages in modern times should be obvious: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2702123/ ; although this article is only discussing a single country, the problems are consistent throughout the world where orphanages are standard practice: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6089477
