Story Unintentionally Hilarious

*spoilers*

Man I saw this in Kaohsiung tonight, and when we left the theater I started laughing because of seeing so many cliches (task force teammate betrays team, brother turns out to be a bad guy, child in movie is inevitably kidnapped but is fine at the end) and predictable plot twists. After I started laughing the group behind me all burst out laughing as well. The girl I was with said I was "bai chi" (idiot).

But I didn't go in expecting an Oscar-worthy story. I pretty much just went in for the action and to see Jay Chou and Nic Tse. This movie included those things, so I guess I got what I paid for.

One of the things that I think was done pretty well for the Taiwanese release is that for the most part they stuck to the language that each actor/character would likely use in real life to communicate with each other. Nic Tse using Cantonese, Jay Chou using Mandarin, whoever played the ABC's using English.
