For the love of god, please someone answer this simple question:

OK, I just started watching this movie, and as I'm not sure if
it will be good or not, remains to be seen.
So anyway, here is my question:

Why the heck did this girl on the bike, right in the
first 10 minutes or so, scream and make a face-o-horror
when she approached a car. like she almost is going to hit it
or something, but she isn't going very fast, and she had to
have seen the intersection. it was like that scene in Austin powers
where they are on that roller and they are going like a snail, and the
guy is really like 100 feet away, but is in shock, lol. Austin is like
"move, move" but the guy just sits there. obviously total comedic value.

ok, but in this movie, it is not a comedy, so why the crazy over the top
scream of death from the girl, lol
I played it a few times, it became comical quickly.....

The girl's reaction does seem overdone, but you'll notice that this scene happens in front of the wooden gate closing off "the road." I took it to be some sort of foreshadowing, like the girl felt an evil presence; as if she hadn't been paying attention while riding her bike, and the evil of the place shocked her and made her suddenly notice the car which surprised her even though she wasn't at risk of being hit.
