The whole Hip Hop is dead argument is played out and usually started by people that haven't listened to anything current in at least five years. They're out of touch, cantankerous conservatives.
If you have heard and don't think much of Danny Brown, Killer Mike, Mr. MFN Exquire, Joey BadA$$, Brother Ali, Ka, Kendrick Lamar, Ab Soul, Schoolboy Q, Das Racist, Slaughterhouse, Death Grips, Shabazz Palaces, Reks, Meek Mill, Action Bronson or any other number of artists that define the current state of Hip Hop (not to forget the likes of Nas or El-P who've been around since early/mid 90s and are still relevant) perhaps it's time to face the fact that you don't actually like Hip Hop. And that's okay.
