I went into this expecting the worst, but found it was actually quite good...

I usually don't like narration in movies, but somehow it fit this movie's theme... with the main character reflecting on the love, sexuality and interpersonal experiences in her life as she drifts from one to another... from song to song...

Visually quite nice and the digital bits didn't really detract from the day-dream aesthetic...

The narration is a bit on-the-nose at times, but the film is certainly more than just scenes of attractive people caressing one another softly in the sunset...

I loved Knight of Cups and the casts looks interesting (as a fan of Gosling and Portman), but I have a question. Since it's a music movie, there would be a problem to watch it if I am a deaf? Does they sing too much?

hardly any singing in the movie... in the movie "song to song" is a metaphor more than anything else...
