Why are the posts on this movie so polarized? Either it's the greatest movie ever made (posted by people who worked on the set) or it is total *beep* (why such hate?).

As an unbiased reviewer, no it won't win any awards. There was lots of eye candy for male viewers but it was an ordinary horror movie which is kind of redundant. It was an entertaining 70-80 minutes for those wanting a horror movie that isn't "found footage" which I was tired of years ago.

Good for a cheap rental - 4/10

I completely agree with the whole "found footage" genre (with the exception of VHS)! This movie wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. The gals were pretty enough, the guys nowhere near! The filming and effects were descent, the professor looked like a goober!! All in all the idea was familiar yet descent, but the acting blew chunks. I think that was the biggest turn off with this movie, though the sound quality was a close second.

I think posts are polarized because a movie you don't really feel one way or the other about isn't very inspiring to post about. Usually the good & bad comments are so opposite, they're not much help in deciding whether to watch the film yourself.
